Massage Therapy is the manipulation of the body's soft tissue (muscle, skin, tendons, etc) in order to relax areas of the body and promote better health. It can help to improve function of these soft tissues along with the blood and lymph systems which helps relieve pain and restore function. There are many benefits, both physical and mental which aid in the recovery from injury. At Performance we have found an increase in client satisfaction, recovery time, and quality of life when massage therapy is combined with physiotherapy.

A recent visit with a friend battling lung cancer has highlighted the need and benefits of light touch in the oncology population. More than just that population, there are so many who struggle to get to an appointment for a variety of reasons, but would greatly benefit from massage.
